The Diving ?
This part of the
Costa Calida has an abundance of safe, clear and warm waters. The proximity of
the Atlantic ocean results in a rich and unique blend of Atlantic and
Mediterranean sea life where you can encounter moray eels, large groupers,
barracuda, rays, octopus, occasionally turtles and sunfish along with numerous
types of colourful smaller fish. You will also find some of the prettiest types
of both hard and soft corals together with nudibranches and sea slugs common to
this area.
These waters provide an ideal environment to learn how to scuba dive and to advance on skills and qualifications already acquired. Because of the sheltered waters and non-tidal sea making diving easier and more
comfortable to enjoy.
Our dive sites
stretch from the north east of the mar menor, down to the Islas Hormigas marine
reserve at Cabo de palos and westwards past the ancient town of Cartagena and across to the town of Mazarron. This wide area can provide any diver with a selection of shore, boat, marine dives, night dives, wreck and deep dives!
The Islas
Hormigas marine reserve, which is a protected area, boasts some of Spain’s best
diving, where visibility is on average 12-15 metres with water temperatures
from 16c in winter to a pleasant 30c in the height of summer. Some of the sites
can be reached within 10 minutes from La Manga Club.
Whatever your interest, Adventure Divers will ensure that your encounter with the underwater world is rewarding, good value and above all SAFE. More details on our dive sites you can find in the shop.
